TEDx Editor's Pick Challenges Leaders to Stop Apologizing for What Matters Most
Executive and Teams coach Teresa Caro invites the public to join a July 7 watch party as TED releases her TEDx Talk about Unapologetic Prioritization to a global audience.

ATLANTA, Ga. June 22, 2026 - How often do you apologize for leaving on time, missing a weekend email, or simply protecting your own energy?

Executive and Teams coach and Liminist founder Teresa Caro believes those small apologies are early warning signs of something bigger.

On July 7, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. ET, TED will release Caro's TEDx Talk about Unapologetic Prioritization, an idea that challenges leaders to stop apologizing for having priorities and start communicating them with clarity. The talk has been selected as a TEDx Editor's Pick, a rare distinction that gives the idea visibility beyond the local TEDx stage and the standard TEDx video library.

To celebrate, Liminist and TEDxBuckheadAve are hosting an in-person and virtual watch party on July 7. Guests may attend in person at MODEx Studio in Buckhead or join virtually via Zoom. Registration is available at https://imsorryjarclub.com/.

"With more than 4,000 TEDx events held each year around the world, a TEDx Editor's Pick is a rare distinction," said Caro. "It means TED's editorial team chose this talk for curated promotion, giving the idea visibility beyond the local TEDx stage and the standard TEDx video library."

Caro's talk explores the hidden cost of saying "I'm sorry" when we have done nothing wrong. Through personal stories, leadership insight, and practical reframes, she introduces Unapologetic Prioritization as a leadership skill for people navigating pressure, burnout, caregiving, team expectations, and the everyday tension between what is urgent and what matters most.

At the center of the talk is a simple practice: Say what you need. Share what you'll give.

"Most people don't wake up one day burned out. They drift there. It starts much earlier, in the small moments when we apologize for having needs, priorities, or boundaries. My hope is that this talk helps people recognize those signals sooner and gives them permission to lead from a healthier place," said Caro.

The message builds on Caro's work with executives, leadership teams, high-capacity professionals, and organizations trying to recognize pressure before it becomes burnout, culture damage, or self-abandonment.

"One of the greatest privileges of TEDxBuckheadAve is helping powerful ideas find their audience," said Tasha White, TEDxBuckheadAve licensee and organizer. "Teresa's talk is a wonderful example of what happens when a deeply personal insight becomes a message that resonates far beyond the stage. We are thrilled to see it recognized as a TEDx Editor's Pick and shared with the world."
