Nearly 2,400 compete in Northside Atlanta Women’s race
Rain didn’t stop nearly 2,400 runners from competing in the Northside Hospital Atlanta Women’s 4 Miler. The race is Atlanta’s premier women’s running experience, in its first year as a 4-mile run after previously covering 5 kilometers. The course on May 3 began at Lenox Square, moved down Peachtree Street and onto the PATH400 greenway trail. Laura Pifer of Suwanee won the race with a time of 22 minutes, 46 seconds. Northside announces newest providers, offices
Northside Hospital is committed to expanding access to leading health care across Georgia. The health system announces the following new providers and physician practice locations. Cancer Dr. Joseph Maakaron has joined The Blood and Marrow Transplant Group of Georgia. Dr. Maakaron is a board-certified physician in hematology, medical oncology and internal medicine. His clinical interests include bone marrow transplant, leukemia and immunotherapy — including CAR T-cell and TIL therapies.
