Community Assistance Center Offers Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program
The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program is an initiative of the IRS, the governmental entity that processes US income taxes each year.
Volunteers from the community are trained to help individuals and families in submitting their taxes for both the current year and previous years.
This FREE service is provided by CAC (through partnership with United Way of Greater Atlanta) starting February 1. Appointments are highly recommended.

Who Is Eligible?
The VITA program at CAC offers free tax help to people who need assistance in preparing their own tax returns, including:

- People who generally make $67,000 or less;
- Persons with disabilities; and
- Limited English-speaking taxpayers
