Member Services Coordinator

Overall job objectives:

 

The Member Services Coordinator supports the Director of Member Services. This key position

will be instrumental in assisting and supporting the development of the overall membership plan

with two primary goals: (1) ensuring that existing members receive outstanding value by

continuously staying connected and engaged with our events, educational and safety

opportunities, along with committee involvement and (2) expanding each members knowledge

of our ABC National resources such as the affinity partners and discount programs and the ABC

Insurance & Trust.

 

Reports to: Director of Member Services & President and CEO

 

Specific responsibilities include - but not limited to:

It will be essential that this person bring the following attributes to the association:

Membership

• Cultivate current members for long-term membership growth and strengthen ABC’s brand

through phone calls, office visits and other face-to-face opportunities

• Promote and encourage members to participate and engage in events, educational and

safety opportunities and committee involvement

• Promote National Affinity Partners and Discount Programs and National Insurance & Trust

• Maintain developed relationships with member contacts to identify and address

opportunities to create value for their company

• Ensure member company and contacts are accurate and identify individuals that should be

added to our databases as well as to specific membership groups

• Assist the Office and Database Manager with the online directory to ensure members are

correctly displayed

 

Open House and Future Member Meetings - responsibilities include – but not limited to:

• Assist with planning of member open houses

• Assist with planning of Future Member luncheons

 

Governmental Affairs

• Assist with sending PAC checks and letters to local legislators

• Assist with scheduling of PAC check delivery

• Scheduling Hill visits for ABC National Legislative Week and local meetings with legislators

 

Miscellaneous

• Strong work ethic, commitment, motivated, self-starter with high energy and spirit

• Customer service oriented with the ability to connect through phone conversations, inperson meetings and understanding of follow up is key

• Team player who is committed and has a desire to help provide superior customer service

and value to members

• Effective time management skills

• Excellent computer/technical skills and expertise of Microsoft software programs to utilize

the association’s extensive database on member activities

Knowledge of the commercial construction industry extremely helpful

• Comprehensive analytical skills and excellent attention to detail

• Outgoing personality who is comfortable and experienced with public speaking, in-person

meetings and telephone contact

• Able to lift objects up to 40-50 pounds to help at membership events

• Needs own transportation to attend off-site meetings and run errands occasionally

• Includes some early mornings, evenings, weekends, and school holidays. Travel within

Atlanta is required.
