Safety Specialist
Job Description
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Entry-Level Safety Professional to join our team and support the implementation of safety policies and procedures. This role is ideal for recent graduates or individuals beginning their career in environmental health and safety (EHS). You will assist in promoting a culture of safety, conducting inspections, supporting training programs, and helping ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
Responsibilities
• Assist in the development, implementation, and enforcement of safety policies and procedures.
• Conduct routine safety inspections, audits, and hazard assessments.
• Support incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action tracking.
• Help coordinate safety training sessions and maintain training records.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other relevant safety regulations.
• Maintain and organize safety documentation, reports, and metrics.
• Participate in safety committee meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide general administrative support to the Safety Team as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field.
• Strong interest in workplace safety and health regulations.
• Basic knowledge of OSHA standards and general safety practices preferred.
• Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Must be willing to work in both office and field environments.
• Other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications (Not Required):
• Internship or prior experience in a safety-related role
• CPR/First Aid certification
• Familiarity with safety management systems (SMS) or EHS software
