Client Accounting Staff Accountant
Description
WBL CPAs is seeking a self-motivated individual to join our Client Accounting team! This is a hybrid role, ensuring work/life integration and promotes organic growth and fair opportunity based off of merit.
As a member of the Client Accounting Services team, the individual will:
-Perform accounting services for a variety of clients to include compiling financial statements, reconciling balance sheet accounts including banks accounts, A/R and A/P, analyzing financial statements for reasonableness & making appropriate adjustments
-Processing disbursements for clients, including high net worth individuals
-Learn and utilize payroll software as well as apply laws and compliance procedures in processing payroll for clients
-Learn and utilize property tax software as well as apply laws and compliance procedures in preparing property tax returns for clients
-Learn sales tax processing as well as apply laws and compliance procedures in preparing sales tax returns for clients
-Learn and apply fixed asset depreciation rules and develop skills in using depreciation software
Requirements
-College degree or equivalent experience in Accounting/Bookkeeping
-A basic understanding of theory and principles of accounting regulations and their application to client situations
-Ability to learn quickly and readily recognize & troubleshoot accounting and software problem
-Ability to manage constantly shifting priorities and to progress to point of working with minimal supervision
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills including business writing capabilities
-Must be organized and detail oriented
-Must have intermediate Excel skills
-Must have intermediate experience Quickbooks Desktop and Quickbooks Online
