Client Accounting Services Practice Leader

WBL CPAs + Advisors, a metro Atlanta based Accounting and Consulting firm is seeking a highly motivated CPA with a proven track record to lead and grow our Client Accounting Services (“CAS”) practice. Career growth for this role includes an opportunity for path to Partner.

Duties Include:
 

  • Lead all aspects of the Client Accounting Services practice to ensure clients’ business needs & objectives are met on a timely basis with exceptional quality in line with firm’s overall quality standards
  • Ensure client engagements are delivered timely and accurately while also identifying and addressing any issues as they arise
  • Review and sign-off on compilation and preparation engagements
  • Manage client accounting outsourcing engagements
  • Manage the preparation of personal property tax, payroll and sales tax returns
  • Evaluate client accounting systems, internal controls & business software; make recommendations as needed
  • Assess CAS processes and make recommendations, as needed, for enhancements to streamline processes and enhance productivity
  • Assist clients in the hiring, training and supervision of accounting personnel
  • Maintain existing client relationships and develop new ones as practice grows
  • Develop new and expanded business for the CAS practice through the selling and delivery of CAS services
  • Cross-sell other practice areas of the firm to CAS clients
  • Actively participate in management meetings and management decisions
  • Actively participate as a member of the firm’s Growth Committee to bring forth new ideas and business solutions resulting in additional service offerings
  • Assist in developing the marketing/growth plan in conjunction with Marketing Director
  • Supervise and manage current staff of 3 along with additional hires.
     
Requirements:
  • Active CPA license required
  • At least 10 years’ experience in public accounting with at least 6 years’ experience in Client Accounting Services in a supervisory or management capacity
  • Proven track record of business development for CAS as well as cross-selling additional firm services to existing clients
  • Strong organization skills with solid experience developing and sustaining clients and teams as well as planning for growth
  • Working knowledge of GAAP
  • Experience with QuickBooks Online and Desktop versions; experience with other accounting software products a plus.
  • Forward-thinking and strategic with willingness to stay current with latest accounting methods and technology
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
