Description
To provide a forum for women in business to form relationships with their peers, provide an educational platform, give back to the community and be a source for professional women to be mentored. The Women's Business Network will focus on the areas of Networking, Community, Education and Mentorship.
Guest Speaker: Betty Price

Representative Betty Price was elected to the Georgia House of Representatives in a special election in July of 2015 to represent House district 48, which includes parts of Roswell and Alpharetta.
Representative Betty Price graduated with honors from Cocoa Beach High School in Florida, received her B.A. from Pomona College in California and earned her M.D. at McGill University in Montreal. She completed her internship and residency at the Emory University Affiliated Hospitals, and met her future husband, Tom, a fellow physician, at Grady Memorial Hospital. She worked for over 20 years in the medical field and practiced Anesthesiology in Roswell and Marietta. For her service, she was named a President’s Award recipient by the Medical Association of Atlanta and a Phenomenal Women of North Fulton award recipient.
Rep. Price is an active member of her community, previously serving over 5 years on the Roswell City Council and as Mayor Pro Tem of Roswell. Representative Price also served on the boards of numerous non-profits in North Fulton, and 10 years on the Fulton County Board of Health.
She and Congressman Tom Price, who represents the 6th District of Georgia in the U.S. Congress, reside in Roswell and have one adult son.
Rep. Price is delighted to serve on the Health and Human Services, Governmental Affairs, and State Planning and Community Affairs committees.

The Sandy Springs Women's Business Network welcomes Representative Betty Price to be our May luncheon guest speaker. Betty Price will be giving insight into her career background and what inspired her to get involved with politics. She will also be giving a brief overview of the 2016 Georgia Legislative Session and her role as a female representative and the challenges she has overcome in her position. We look forward to all having Ms. Price join our ladies luncheon and we look forward to seeing everyone on May 3rd!
