Description
Please join the Sandy Springs/Perimeter Chamber of Commerce for our Chamber Luncheon with Guest speaker Paula S. Larson, Newell Rubbermaid.
Paula S. Larson - Executive Vice President, Chief People Officer
Paula joined Newell Rubbermaid in December 2013 to build the performance culture that will empower engaged employees to achieve sustainable growth. As a global executive known for building high-performing organizations and employee development, Paula has built her career leading change as both an HR business partner and strategic consultant.
Since joining Newell Rubbermaid, Paula has transformed the Company’s Human Resources function to support the business’ growth agenda through installation of HR best practices and service delivery innovations. Her passion is to build an “I want to work here” culture where Newell Rubbermaid’s people are engaged and poised globally to deliver positive outcomes for the business. As Chief People Officer, Paula is leading a Human Resources team in the process of transforming from a tactical HR function to a truly strategic HR function offering additional analysis and insight to help “Grow Newell…and Grow Our People.”
Previously, Paula was Chief Human Resources Officer for The Western Union Company, where she drove a performance-based culture to help accelerate growth. As Chief Human Resources Officer at Invensys plc, the London-based global technology group acquired by Schneider Electric in January 2014, she helped engineer the transition from a holding company into an integrated operating company. This helped drive the company to a top-5 performance among the London FTSE100 during the difficult recession year of 2009.
During her time at the Hydraulics division of Eaton Corp., she helped support the globalization of the HR business unit. She also spent over a decade at GE, where she won several coveted Executive Awards for HR leadership and was one of the company’s first Six Sigma black belts in human resources. Before that, Paula spent nearly five years at a global HR consultancy, Dugan Unlimited, where she lived and worked extensively globally during various organization effectiveness client assignments.
Paula has a B.A. in Psychology from Michigan State, an MBA with international business concentration from the University of New Haven and an M.A. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from New York University, ABD.
