DESCRIPTION:The City of Brookhaven's popular Paint the Park event returns to Blackburn Park again this year. Artists of all ages and skill levels are invited to use the park as inspiration on Sunday\, Oct. 5\, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.\n\nThe free event takes place at the pavilion on the north end of the park near Ashford Dunwoody Road. To illustrate the importance of civic art\, completed pieces will be displayed throughout the afternoon.\n\nArt supplies and canvases will be provided on a first-come\, first-served basis\, and artists are also allowed to bring their own supplies. Complimentary cool treats from King of Pops and a face-painting artist will be part of the fun.\n\nJudging and prizes will also be part of the event\, with awards given in age groups 7 and under\, 8-13\, and 14+. Winners will be featured in the City's annual Paint the Park calendar.
